Because of that, we’re excited to begin offering a new service: Prayer Counseling.
What Is Prayer Counseling?
Prayer Counseling is a Christian-based, non-clinical service designed for individuals who want to intentionally incorporate their faith into their personal growth.
These sessions create space for:
- Prayer
- Biblical reflection
- Spiritual encouragement
- Seeking God’s direction in the midst of life’s challenges
For some, this will feel like a natural extension of their faith. For others, it may be a new and meaningful way to engage their spiritual life during difficult seasons.
How Is This Different from Therapy?
It’s important to us to be clear:
Prayer Counseling is not a replacement for professional mental health therapy.
While our licensed counselors focus on clinical care—diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based approaches—Prayer Counseling is centered on spiritual support and guidance.
For many clients, these two can work side by side, each serving a different but meaningful role.

Meet Charles Brenner
We’re excited to welcome Charles Brenner to Resolute Counseling as our first Prayer Counselor.
Charles is a local, Kingdom-minded pastor and leader with many years of ministry experience. His passion is to see people encounter the life-changing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He carries a strong calling to help individuals discover identity, purpose, and direction, and is deeply committed to walking alongside others as they grow spiritually. Charles has a heart for building community and believes in restoring what has been broken—helping people move toward healing, connection, and wholeness.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Messiah University and has also pursued theological training through the Master of Divinity program at Seattle Pacific University Seminary.
Charles is especially gifted in teaching and brings a thoughtful, engaging approach to Prayer Counseling. He places a strong emphasis on the renewal of the mind, helping individuals recognize how their thought patterns shape their lives. His approach is grounded in Scripture, centered on Christ, and rooted in the love of a Father who cares deeply for each person—no matter their story.
A guiding verse in his life comes from Romans 12:2:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
Charles often reminds others that real transformation begins internally—and from that place, it flows outward into every area of life.
He lives in Chambersburg with his wife and their three sons.
A Thoughtful and Intentional Addition
We’ve approached this addition with care.
Prayer Counseling is:
- Completely optional
- Clearly defined as non-clinical
- Designed to complement—not replace—professional counseling
Our goal is to provide a space where those who desire it can experience support that includes both wisdom and faith.
Resolute Counseling is based in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and serves individuals and families throughout Franklin County and the surrounding communities.
