Katie O’Neil, LCSW
Katie earned her Bachelor’s in Sociology and Criminology from Duquesne University and her Master’s in Social Work in Mental Health and Child Welfare. She obtained her Clinical Social Work license and is now dually licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania. She provides clinical supervision and professional consultation. Katie has eighteen years of experience as a trauma specialist working with all ages, from childhood (8 years old and older) through geriatrics. Katie has worked in outpatient as well as residential and academic settings. She also has experience treating patients with behavioral health conditions in an acute medical facility and assisted in developing and launching an Addiction Medicine Service at Johns Hopkins.
Katie utilizes varying treatment modalities, which depend upon the presenting issues. She employs cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic, and attachment-based therapy. She emphasizes a humanistic approach and strengths-based care to foster rapport and self-efficacy.

Katie recently returned home to Franklin County with her spouse and German Shepard Dog and enjoys anything outdoors; hiking, camping, kayaking, gardening, reading, and playing music with friends.
