Towards the middle to end of 2015, my wife and I began dreaming about starting a private practice. Conversations we had and some unexpected circumstances along the way helped to propel us and ended up birthing the idea and formation of Resolute Counseling. Only through the support of our family, friends, and God could this dream become a reality.
Once we opened our doors in the beginning of 2016, we had what I thought were reasonable expectations for how successful the practice could be. I quickly learned that this practice was needed in the community and that I could be a nice addition to what already is a great group of counselors and counseling practices. We have fit in very nicely in the Chambersburg community and I have built many great relationships with other health care providers and businesses. Throughout the last few years, our practice has grown to a point where we have needed to employ two other office staff members to help my wife with the growing demand of phone calls and other requests. We have been blessed to have wonderful clientele and I can’t thank these people enough for being part of our practice. But, it became obvious that it has been too much for me alone to handle the amount of new clients requesting to be seen at our practice.
Now, in our 4th year, Resolute Counseling is proud to announce that we have hired our first clinician to join me in providing mental health services. Valerie Palmer has joined our group and brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the practice. She has unique qualities, training, and certifications in the areas of substance abuse, anger management, and grief therapy. I am fully confident that she will bring professionalism and be “resolute” in her desire to help the clientele we serve.
